Space Coast Cancer Center’s Dr. Richard Levine Panelist At Future of Oncology Forum

Dr. Richard Levine, Board Certified medical oncologist and president of Space Coast Cancer Center, was an invited panelist at the 2015 Association of Community Cancer Centers Institute for the “Future of Oncology Forum” recently held in Chicago.

He was asked to identify challenges anticipated in the future and help provide solutions so that patients will be able to receive the best medical care possible in the United States.

The goal is to develop strategies that will improve multidisciplinary integration of medical care cancer patients receive, as well as enhance the role of primary care physicians in screening for cancer and management of cancer survivors.

Dr. Levine was selected to represent medical oncologists that work at a community cancer center that focuses on quality and innovation.

Space Coast Cancer Center was the first practice in Florida, and one of the first 17 in the United States, certified for quality by the American Society of Clinical Oncology’s Quality Oncology Practice Initiative.

Space Coast Cancer Center is the only practice in Florida, and one of just seven in the U.S., selected to participate in Medicare’s Oncology Medical Home initiative.  It is one of 10 Vanguard practices in the United States collaborating with the American Society of Clinical Oncology’s CancerLinQ program.
