Winn Dixie Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested In St. Lucie County, Will Be Sent Back To Brevard

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office has announced the suspect allegedly responsible for the December 7 armed robbery at the Winn Dixie located at 7960 U.S. Highway One in Micco, has been arrested.

Police arrested 46-year-old Timothy Scott Turner of Port St. Lucie on Monday.

Back on December 7, the suspect displayed a firearm and demanded money from the clerk at the customer service counter, according to Cpl. Dave Jacobs of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

Earlier, the same suspect was believed to have committed around six other armed robberies in the south Florida area.

All of the agencies impacted by the robberies coordinated together that ultimately identified the suspect.

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office obtained an arrest warrant for Turner for armed robbery with a firearm.

Turner is currently incarcerated in the St. Lucie County Jail on other Charges and is awaiting extradition back to Brevard County.
