Brevard County Medical Society Installs New Officers, Board Members For 2016

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Medical Society gathered on Thursday, January 28 at the Holiday Inn in Viera to install new officers, and bring their members and guests up to date information from the health care industry.
Incoming Brevard County Medical Society President Dr. James D. Glenn received the gavel from outgoing BCMS President Dr. Devin Datta.
Dr. Glenn led the guests in attendance in a rousing version of the Star Spangled Banner, accompanied by his wife and pianist Joelle Glenn.
“It has been an honor to serve the members of Brevard County Medical Society during my role as President,” said Dr. Datta.
“I know that Dr. Glenn will continue the important work of our society.”
Dr. Kyle Moyles highlighted the Florida Medical Association’s recent activities. The FMA represents more than 20,000 physicians on issues of legislation and regulatory affairs, medical economics and education, public health and ethical and legal issues.
The organization, which was founded in 1974, advocates for physicians and their patients to promote the public health, ensure the highest standards of medical practice, and to enhance the quality and availability of health care in the Sunshine State.
The Honorable Judge A.B. Majeed delivered the Invocation and The Honorable Judge John Dean Moxley conducted the installation of the 2016 Brevard County Medical Society officers.
Officers for 2016 include: President – James D. Glenn, M.D.; President Elect – Piyush Joshi, M.D.; Vice President – David Badolato, M.D.; Treasurer – Kyles Moyles, M.D.; Secretary – Gobivenkata Balaji, M.D.; and Immediate Past President – Devin Datta, M.D.
Board members for 2016 include: Stephen Badolato, M.D., Glenn Bryan, M.D., Gobi Balaji, M.D., German Castro, MD., Lisa Cogsgrove, MD., Lance Grenevicki, M.D., Heidar Heshmati, M.D., John H. Potomski, Jr., D.O., Sangita Sahay, M.D., Ashish Udeshi, MD. and Eugene F. Wawryzniak, M.D.
Titusville Mayor James H. Tulley, Jr. presented “What is great about Titusville.”

The Brevard County Medical Society is a professional and scientific organization of medical and osteopathic physicians in Brevard County, Florida that was established in 1904.
The Brevard County Medical Society is the local affiliate of the Florida Medical Association, and is a member of the Federation of Medicine.
Although membership is voluntary, physicians choose to join because they know that team efforts are most effective in attaining their goal of quality medical care for Brevardians and all Floridians.
Brevard County Medical Society members understand that quality medical care means being involved in patient advocacy, public information and health education, and community health affairs.
