Space Coast Pirates Krewe To Land At Port Canaveral Seafood and Music Festival, Will Hold Parade

Pirates Parade and Party set Saturday, Feb. 27
BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – Have you ever wanted to meet or become a pirate? You can at the at the Port Canaveral Seafood & Music Fest, set for Feb. 26-28.
The Brethren of the Space Coast Pirates Krewe, led by “Rosalie the Red” and “Captain Cranky” Jason Outlaw, in association with their Quartermaster “Pirate Kedge” (Gary of MadHatter Promotions), will present the “Pirates Parade and Party” on Saturday, Feb. 27.
All pirate crews, rogue pirates, pirate families of all ages – and scalawags who are new to pirating – are invited to dress in full pirate garb and participate in the Pirate Parade and Party. Pirates who register to participate in the parade must be in full pirate costume to participate in the parade.

“The Port Canaveral Seafood Festival is a perfect place for all pirates to meet and celebrate the pirate lifestyle,” said Rosalie Outlaw.
“Captain Cranky (her husband Jason Outlaw) and I, along with Gary of Mad Hatter Promotions are really excited to have joined with the Seafood Festival committee to bring this family-friendly event to Brevard. It will be ARRRRRsome.”
All pirates in costume will rally in front of the WRRJ stage next to the Exploration Tower lake at 2 p.m. and the Pirates Parade will begin at 3 p.m.
All three regional pirate crews of Thee Leviathan, Pirate Ship Calypso and Panama Pearl’s Pirate World will also be represented at the festival.

INCREDIBLE SEAFOOD
To keep concertgoers well-fed, seafood restaurants and vendors from around the country are heading to Port Canaveral to participate in the three-day event.
Arrive hungry, because you will want to try out the many temptations. Gregory Firestone’s Golden Gate seafood, for example, will present 150 feet of drool-inducing seafood, including crawfish, crab legs, alligator, calamari, lobster mac and cheese, and seafood boil, for starters.
“For guests who like their fish properly prepared the British Way, fish and chip specialist The Union Jacks will oblige with fresh fish fried to order and with chips, English style,” said Giles Malone, Space Coast Daily Partner and Port Canaveral Seafood & Music Festival Committee Chairman.
The team from Richard Cockerel’s What’s the Catch will present Key West grilled grouper, island shrimp and pan-seared ahi tuna, among others.
Lobster lovers should make a beeline for Cousins Maine Lobster, where Kevin Townsend’s crew will serve Maine and Connecticut lobster rolls, Cousins lobster tacos, lobster quesadilla, Maine lobster tail and lobster bisque.
Hammerheads from Tampa will offer seafood jambalaya, sautéed scallops, grouper fingers, coconut shrimp, shrimp scampi, fried oyster, and for the guest who wants everything, a seafood platter.
The Cove Merchants’ Association, represented by Fish Lips, Grills, Millikens and Rusty’s, are definitely in the running with a huge array of seafood entrees.
Landlubbers don’t fret, for there will also be plenty of selections to your taste.
To wash all that food down, head to the International Beer and Wine Garden, which in addition to a wide selection of brews and vinos, will also feature cocktails.
