By Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission // March 1, 2016
enjoy this fun-filled weekend

The second annual Lionfish Removal and Awareness Day will be held May 14.
Join us in raising awareness about lionfish during our second annual “LRAD” event.
Just like last year, our headquarters will be in Pensacola, but we encourage everyone around the state of Florida to get out and collect as many lionfish as they can during this fun-filled weekend.
Visit ReefRangers.com/Event-Info for more details.

ABOVE VIDEO: The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission thanks everyone who helped make the first annual Lionfish Removal and Awareness Day a success. Lionfish Removal and Awareness Day was created by the FWC in early 2015 to encourage removal of, and to raise awareness about lionfish. This day falls on the first Saturday after Mother’s Day each year. More than 2,000 lionfish were removed from Florida waters by those participating in Lionfish Removal and Awareness Day.
