BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — Walmart has more than 100,000 associates and over 350 stores in Florida, making it the largest employer in the third-most populous state in the country, according to 24/7 Wall St.

The company claims average wages of $13.51 per hour for full-time workers, considerably more than the $8.05 government-mandated wage.

As the world’s largest retailer, Walmart has an over-sized impact on state labor markets.

Walmart is the only company to claim the top employer spot in more than one state. In fact, the nation’s largest retailer employs the most people in 19 states, according the 24/7 Wall St.
