Brevard County Manatees Attendance Grows Significantly, May 26-28 Designated ‘Outdoors Weekend’

BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – With the Brevard County Manatees into the second month of the season, the team has experienced significant increases in attendance in 2016.
In comparing, this season thus far to the same point in the 2015 season, the team has had an increase of 41 percent in total attendance.
“It is a satisfying feeling to continue to see large crowds at the Stadium.” Manatees General Manager Chad Lovitt said.
“I hear words of excitement from our long-time fans and day-of-game staff, as they too enjoy seeing fans at our games and want baseball in Brevard County.”

Brevard County opened the 2016 Florida State League season on April 8, on which date the team drew an Opening Day record crowd of 4,897.
The Manatees begin a six-game home stand at Space Coast Stadium in Viera on Tuesday, during which the team will play the two of the top teams in the Florida State League, the Clearwater Threshers and the Tampa Yankees.
May 26-28 will be Outdoors Weekend, as Florida Fish and Wildlife, Anglers for Conservation, and a number of Brevard County’s other outdoor and recreation organizations will be on hand.
The Manatees will wear hunter camouflage specialty jerseys, which will be up for bid at manateesbaseball.com throughout the weekend.
