BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The second annual Dancing For the Space Coast, a unique competition and fundraising event that benefits three worthy organizations on the Space Coast, will be held at Florida Tech’s Clemente Center on Saturday, June 4.
This year, Dancing For the Space Coast will benefit the Brevard Public Safety Charity, who has earmarked the proceeds to be distributed to the Foosner Art Museum, Sally’s House and AMI Kids.
Among those participating this year is Dr. Kantilal Bhalani, a long time Brevard physician and the founder of the Doctor’s Goodwill Foundation, which was established in 2003 as a result of the efforts and vision of a group of physicians at Parrish Medical Center.
These dedicated doctors and medical technicians have made frequent donations of their services to medical missions across the globe.
Locally, the DGF is working with schools and The Children’s Center to provide defibrillators, support the Brevard Science Fair, provide seniors with flu vaccines through the Department of Health as well as doubling the scholarships to those pursuing an education in health care.
Over the next decade, we will see a marked increase in the need for doctors, nurses and healthcare workers and the DGF is dedicated to helping students pursuing a career in healthcare.
The DGF presents its annual Doctor’s Expo and Health Fair to raise funds for these medical scholarships and education.
“It has been a distinct honor to have worked with all the businesses, individuals, volunteers and members for the last 13 years,” said Dr. Bhalani.
“After many missions, hundreds of scholarship awards and help to the community, we look forward to serving the Space Coast community for many years to come.”
