Melbourne Police Arrest Two Armed Disturbance Suspects, Recover Handguns

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Melbourne Police Department arrested Ladoia L. Jones and Ladell M. Jones of Melbourne after responding to the 1800 block of Temple Terrace regarding an armed disturbance at about 5 p.m. Monday afternoon.

According to MPD, two subjects were reported to be armed with handguns and threatened at least one person.

Upon arrival, the victim identified the two suspects as threatening him with handguns, and then the suspects fled into an apartment. After the incident was secured, and a search warrant was served, two firearms were recovered.

Ladoia L. Jones, 25, of 2321 Appalachian Drive in Melbourne was charged with Aggravated assault with a firearm, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Ladell M. Jones 29, of 4651 W. Eau Gallie Boulevard was charged with Aggravated assault with a firearm, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
