BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA — Melbourne Orlando International Airport (MLB) is pleased to announce that Delta Air Lines will launch new seasonal nonstop weekend service between New York-LaGuardia (LGA) and Melbourne Orlando International Airport beginning December 19, 2026.
The new service will operate Saturdays and Sundays through May 2, 2027, providing convenient nonstop access between Florida’s Space Coast and one of the nation’s largest travel markets.
Timed to coincide with Port Canaveral’s weekend cruise schedule, the route offers travelers another convenient option for beginning or ending their vacation while connecting New York visitors directly to the Space Coast.
LaGuardia is MLB’s largest New York market, making this a natural addition to the airport’s route network.
The new route expands travel options for residents and visitors while further strengthening MLB’s connectivity to one of its strongest domestic markets.
“Delta has been an outstanding partner and the largest carrier at Melbourne Orlando International Airport for many years, and we’re excited to see them continue investing in our community,” said Greg Donovan, A.A.E., Executive Director of Melbourne Orlando International Airport.
“The addition of New York-LaGuardia service expands travel opportunities for our residents, supports tourism, and strengthens the connectivity that drives continued growth across Florida’s Space Coast.”
In addition to providing Space Coast residents with a convenient nonstop connection to New York City, the seasonal route is expected to attract visitors cruising from Port Canaveral while introducing more travelers to everything Florida’s Space Coast has to offer.
Travelers flying through MLB will also enjoy the convenience of the closest commercial airport to Port Canaveral, the world’s busiest cruise port, along with easy terminal access, close-in parking, shorter security lines, and a streamlined travel experience from curb to gate.
Delta Air Lines will operate the seasonal service on Saturdays and Sundays beginning December 19, 2026, with the final scheduled flight of the season on May 2, 2027.
