Major Softball continued at McKnight Family Sports Complex Saturday morning with Rockledge Little League (visitors) winning over Port St. John Little League by a score of 13-8 in 6 innings. Emily Shewes had a triple for Rockledge.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Major Softball continued at McKnight Family Sports Complex Saturday morning with Rockledge Little League (visitors) winning over Port St. John Little League by a score of 13-8 in 6 innings. Emily Shewes had a triple for Rockledge.

In the afternoon game, Mims LL met Cocoa LL. Kayla Lloyd went 3-for-4 at the plate for Cocoa. Alaynna Dejesus hit a triple for Mims and Evalisse Garcia went 3-for-3 and was the winning pitcher for Mims’ 17-12 victory in 6 innings.

At Holder Park, the major baseball division continued. In the morning game, Indian River City Little League’s (visitors) Jay La Chapelle had a double and a RBI while teammates Tanner Hanson and Kameron Durrance each had singles and a RBI. For Merritt Island Little League, Rylan Diaz had 2 hits including a 2-run homer and Tommy McGee had 2 hits and 2 RBI. Sal Carlson and Brandon Ferrero each had doubles. Rylan Diaz was the winning pitcher for Merritt Island in the 5-inning 17-7 victory.

The afternoon matchup saw Mims Little League’s (visitors) Blake Lind hit a double and a triple with 3 RBI while Holden Quinn, Evan Patrick and Austin Roberts each had 2 hits and a RBI. For Rockledge, Zander Chapman had 2 hits, including a 2-run homer. Ben Rahal had a double and a RBI while Clayton Revels, Mason Derwitsch and Peyton Casey each had singles. When the dust finally settled, Mims had an 11-8 victory.
