BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Thursday night at Holder Park, Port St. John Little League (visitors) major baseball defeated Rockledge Little League 9-2.

For Rockledge, Trent Brayboy reached base three times while Clayton Revels and Ben Rahal accounted for Rockledge’s two runs. For Port St. John, Michael Baumgardner hit a solo home run, Frankie Bradley had a triple and RBI, and Paul Dooley had a single and 2 RBI. Baumgardner was the winning pitcher.

Holder Park’s Friday matchup saw Indian River City (visitors) meet Port St. John. For Port St. John Little League (home), Ryan Vite and Paul Dooley each hit singles and had a RBI while Ryekin Pratt hit a double. But, Indian River City’s Tanner Hanson had 2 hits and 3 RBI while Austin Raulerson hit a Grand Slam as Caden Hillard pitched for the 14-2 Indian River City win.

For Rockledge, A. Fafard had a double and scored 3 runs. For North Merritt Island, C. Lyerly and C. Townsend each hit a double and I. Farrow added 2 doubles and scored 6 runs. With the win, North Merritt Island Little League became the District 22 Junior Baseball Champions.

At Stradley Park, senior baseball finished up with the third game between Cocoa Little League (visitors) and North Merritt Island LL. North Merritt Island’s G. Kindred and M. Robinson each hit a home run. The final score was Cocoa – 5 and North Merritt Island – 6. North Merritt Island Little League are the District 22 Senior Baseball Champions.

Also at Stradley, junior softball finished up with Cocoa Little League and North Merritt Island meeting for the third game in their series. North Merritt Island won 9-11 in 6 and 1/2 innings, making them the District 22 Junior Softball Champions.

Major baseball continued Thursday night at Holder Park. Port St. John Little League met Rockledge Little League and after the dust cleared, Port St. John had a 9-2 victory in 6 innings.
