Gov. Rick Scott To Visit Port Canaveral Tuesday Morning To Discuss Hurricane Matthew

BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Florida Gov. Rick Scott will be at Port Canaveral Tuesday morning to visit Fishlips Waterfront Bar & Grill, which was impacted by Hurricane Matthew with damage to their restaurant, as well as to their location at Jetty Park.

The Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce will host a breakfast, which is open to the public, with Gov. Scott at 7:30 a.m. at Fishlips, which is located at 610 Glen Cheek Drive in Port Canaveral.

On Monday, Gov. Scott met with with Space Coast community leaders to discuss recovery efforts in Brevard County.

“All four Chamber presidents, the EDC, Space Coast Office of Tourism and Space Florida met today with Gov. Scott to address the needs of our community in the wake of Hurricane Matthew,” said Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Jennifer Sugarman.

“The Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber was pleased to represent and speak for over 1,500 partners as we all work as a community to recover from damages and revenue lost due to the storm.”
