BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne Police Department responded to an incident Halloween night regarding a seven-year-old girl and a twelve-year-old boy that were seeking help for their “drunk” 41-year-old mother, according to Lt. T.A. Turner of the Melbourne Police Department.

The mother was later identified as Shaun Marie Orlos.

According to a release by police, the woman was located in her vehicle in the parking lot of a business near the 1000 block of Wickham Rd and when police located the mother, the vehicle was still running and the woman was sitting in the driver’s seat.

Police say she smelled of alcohol, had slurred speech and blood shot eyes.

When she exited her vehicle she could not stand without leaning on it, according to authorities. Orlos refused to do field sobriety tests and submit to a breath test. As a result, Orlos was arrested.
