Palm Bay Police are searching for a suspect that discharged a firearm into a white Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck early Tuesday morning at around 1:30 a.m and struck the driver in the left leg near Palm Bay Rd. and Bass Pro Dr.

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Palm Bay Police are searching for a suspect that discharged a firearm into a white Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck early Tuesday morning at around 1:30 a.m and struck the driver in the left leg near Palm Bay Rd. and Bass Pro Dr., according to police.

The suspect’s vehicle is described as a white car, possibly a Volvo or Volkswagen, according to authorities.

Both vehicles exited off of I-95 and were traveling east on Palm Bay Rd.

According to Lt. Mike Bandish of the Palm Bay Police Department, the driver of the Chevrolet pick-up said he might have accidentally cut off the vehicle while switching lanes, inciting an apparent road rage incident.

The victim immediately called 911 but the suspect vehicle sped away East on Palm Bay Rd. before police arrived.
