Child Struck By Vehicle In Central Brevard On Tuesday Afternoon

First Flight Called In

Brevard County Fire Rescue and First Flight were called to a scene Tuesday afternoon in Merritt Island that involved a car striking a pedestrian, which has been identified as a child.

BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue and First Flight were called to a scene Tuesday afternoon in Merritt Island that involved a car striking a pedestrian, which has been identified as a child.

The incident took place on the 3400 block of S. Tropical at around 1 p.m.

A trauma alert was administered for the child and was transported to a nearby hospital by helicopter.

The condition of the child is not yet known.
