Crash still under FHP investigation

Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that occurred late Sunday night that involved a car versus pedestrian in Titusville on US-1 near Harbor Oak Ln.

**UPDATE** BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – The 42-year-old woman killed in Sunday’s deadly crash on US-1 near Harbor Oak Ln. has been identified as Titusville resident Laura Daehlin.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that occurred late Sunday night that involved a car versus pedestrian in Titusville on US-1 near Harbor Oak Ln.

The 42-year-old woman from Titusville was pronounced dead at the scene when FHP units arrived at around 10:45 p.m.

The identity of the pedestrian will be released, once the next of kin is notified.

According to the preliminary investigation, a 2012 Volkswagen was traveling in the left northbound lane on US-1 when the driver struck the pedestrian walking in the same lane.

The driver of the car is identified as 51-year-old Daniel Hill of Titusville. The driver was not injured in the crash.

Florida Highway Patrol is still investigating the incident.
