BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Viera Company, Viera Builders, Viera Realty, Duran Golf Club and the DUDA Ranch have been working together over the past month to collect a variety of supplies which will be donated to Family Promise of Brevard, Inc. for their latest project, “Welcome Home.”

The Viera family of companies began collecting items for “Welcome Home” baskets at the beginning of November and came together at the Cocoa Ranch to assemble the baskets prior to delivering them to Family Promise of Brevard.

Family Promise of Brevard is a local non-profit organization whose mission is to address homelessness in our community – one family at a time.

The organization whose goal is to strengthen the community by helping homeless families with children remain intact while they transition toward self-sufficiency, offers compassionate guidance, food, emergency shelter and a pathway home.

Family Promise of Brevard recognizes that when a family moves from homelessness to housing they will be in need of the very basic necessities that families normally have within the home.

The “Welcome Home” program was established to fulfill this need by reaching out to community partners to help put together items for ‘Welcome Home Baskets’ which are filled with these basic necessities.

The Viera family of companies began collecting items for “Welcome Home” baskets at the beginning of November and came together today at the Cocoa Ranch to assemble the baskets prior to delivering them to Family Promise of Brevard.

“Our shared belief is that ending the cycle of homelessness is not only about having a place to call home, but also having a place in other people’s hearts, a place in a community, a place in other people’s lives,” said Tara Pagliarini, Executive Director for Family Promise of Brevard.

“Our hope is to send every family into their new home with a ‘Welcome Home Basket’, a gift from our community partners that sends the message that they matter and they are our family.”

The Viera family of companies has been collecting items such as silverware, dishes, glasses, bed sheets, pots, laundry baskets (which will contain all the supplies), laundry detergent, toilet paper, hand soap and so much more which was divided, organized and then donated to Family Promise of Brevard on December 9.

“After visiting the Brevard Family Promise facility and speaking with the generous individuals who run the organization, it was made extremely evident the impact that Family Promise has on families in Brevard County,” stated Bill Moore, COO Viera Builders, Inc.

“Viera Builders, Inc. feels tremendously honored to have the support of all Viera Company employees in contributing to such an outstanding cause this holiday season.”
