Brevard’s Got Talent Contestants Hit Stage January 20 At Melbourne Auditorium

SCCABO invites you to come out, and bring the entire family, for a fun filled evening of entertainment as some of Brevard’s most talented residents go head to head in the most exciting night of competitive talent.

“Space Coast Cultural Arts and Business Organization Charities, Inc.” (SCCABO) invites you to come out, and bring the entire family, for a fun filled evening of entertainment as some of Brevard’s most talented residents go head to head in the most exciting night of competitive talent to ever touch stage in Brevard County, January 20, 2017 at Melbourne Auditorium, 8:00 pm – 11:00 pm.

Doors open at 7pm.

Selected from the October/November 2016 auditions, 18 contestants, in five categories will compete for $500.00 first place prize.

Who made the cut?  Congratulations to the following finalist: Vocals: Joli Zaki, Julia Weatherspoon & John Rigney (Duo), Mackenzie Carey, Quanesha Cadore; Rap: Vincent Prisciandaro, Rashad Davis, Tyon Davis, Adam Triestman; Spoken word: Keyon Reed, Jasmin Singletary Nadine Clark, Bennu Ra Hetep; Dance: Gia Barnes, Emma Kapper, Jacob Settle BB Mitchell; Step Group: Heritage High School, Cocoa High School.

Local celebrity comedian Dorian Gayle will bring his unique comedic talent as the host for the event.
“It’s going to be an awesome show and I want everyone to come out and support the very talented people of Brevard County, Dorian said.

Contestants are bringing their best performance to impress the BGT judges. All the judges are professionals proficient in judging the five categories of Rap, Voice, Dance, Spoken Word and Step Group.

“I am looking forward to seeing what the contestants will bring to the stage” said BGT judge Joe Davis, R&B singer, formerly of the Original Drifters.

“We are thrilled to have Mr. Davis, as a judge for Brevard’s Got Talent Competition 2017. If anyone knows how a performer must entertain the audience he does and he is also a Melbourne native”, quoted BGT Committee Chair Patricia Lewis Davis.

Joe Davis continues to perform around the country delighting audiences with music from the 50’ 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. Rounding out the list of judges, Spoken Word aficionado Richard Scott , TC Dance Club lead instructor Alfonso Izaguirre, gospel performer Flo Logan Worsham and former WWE wrestler and actor Chris Hollyfield.

The Brevard’s Got Talent Competition 2017 is the first fundraiser for Space Coast Cultural Arts & Business Organization Charities, Inc.. (SCCABO).

The organization’s motto is “Transforming the Lives of Individuals and Communities through Arts, Culture, & Business. SCCABO President, Alberta Laquasia Clinkscales stated, “SCCABO is a community revitalization effort to empower and engage local residents in the process of building healthier and more economically sustainable communities. The Brevard’s Got Talent event is a start towards that goal”.
