BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Authors will learn how to publish their book, build an audience and make money at a one-day Master Class in Indie Publishing, 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. May 20, at Franklin T. DeGroodt Public Library in Palm Bay, Florida.

Bestselling indie-published authors and experts will give practical information on every aspect of self-publishing, from editing and publication to branding and marketing.

Independent or self-publishing continues to grow. Indie authors earned more than $595 million in ebook sales, $225 million in print book sales and $46 million in audiobook sales last year, according to Author Earnings.

Tap into this healthy market for indie-published books by learning how to:

  • Understand the market and how today’s indie publishing differs from vanity presses

 Amy Atwell

Amy Atwell has been helping authors in various ways since she founded WritingGIAM in 2004. In 2011, she received the RWA Service Award for the scope of her volunteer activities. She honed her skills of developing and implementing action plans as a theater production manager, then went on to 15 years of retail management, where she specialized in organization and problem-solving. A 2008 Golden Heart finalist, Amy’s 2010 debut release “Lying Eyes” is a contemporary caper that blends mystery and suspense with love and laughter. She self-published “Ambersley” in 2011, which hit the Top 100 Books and #1 in historical romance on both Kindle and Nook and has since sold 100,000+ copies.
