Then a Florida Master Naturalist Program Upland Habitats Module might be right for you.
This course runs June 6-29 (times vary, see the link below for an online schedule under registration) at the University of Florida IFAS Brevard County Extension Service, located at 3695 Lake Drive in Cocoa.
Through classroom, field trip, and practical experience, this Uplands Habitats Module provides instruction on the general ecology, habitats, vegetation types, wildlife, and conservation issues of Upland Habitats in Florida – Hardwood Forests, Pinelands, Scrub, Dry Prairie, Rangelands and Urban Green Spaces.
The program also addresses society’s role in uplands, develops naturalist interpretation skills, and discusses environmental ethics.
The cost of the course is a $275 attendee fee with a color manual or a $230 attendee fee with USB drive.
