City of Cape Canaveral Hosts 3rd Annual Beach and Kite Festival Set For September 9

The City of Cape Canaveral will be hosting the 3rd annual Beach and Kite Festival on Saturday, September 9th at Cherie Down Park, located at 8330 Ridgewood Avenue, in Cape Canaveral.

BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – The City of Cape Canaveral will be hosting the 3rd annual Beach and Kite Festival on Saturday, September 9th at Cherie Down Park, located at 8330 Ridgewood Avenue, in Cape Canaveral.

Festivities will begin at 10 a.m. and end at 1 p.m.

The first 150 children will receive a free kite to build, decorate and fly. This year’s event will feature kite demonstrations by Central Florida Kite Club, a children’s sand castle/sculpture competition, a beach yoga demonstration and live music with Bo and Friends.

Food and beverages sales at this event will benefit BCSO Police Athletic League. This is a family friendly event and admission is free.
