EVENT POSTPONED DUE TO HURRICANE IRMA

Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey presented the first class of the Space Coast Public Service Hall of Fame, which includes Gary Shiffrin, Mike Lawrence, Robert Waller, Maxwell King, Claude "Jake" Miller and Norman Wolfinger. The first annual Space Coast Public Service Awards & Hall of Fame Induction Gala was held at the King Center on September 24. The Space Coast Daily Awards Committee reviewed an incredible list of nominations and recognized more than 100 extraordinary Space Coast Public Servants during this very special event. THE 2016 SPACE COAST PUBLIC SERVICE AWARDS AND HALL OF FAME INDUCTION CEREMONY recognized and honored our dedicated public servants who have served with distinction, selflessly serving our community. BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – I want to invite you to the upcoming unveiling of the 2016 Space Coast Public Service Hall of Fame and initial inductees.

The event will be held Friday, Sept. 15 at 1 p.m. at Eastern Florida State College, Melbourne Campus, located at 3865 N. Wickham Road in the Public Safety Institute Building.

The honorees for the 2016 Space Coast Public Service Hall of Fame include Dr. Maxwell King, Brevard County Fire Rescue District Chief Michael L. Lawrence, Sheriff Claude “Jake” Miller, Brevard Publis Schools’ Principal Gary Shiffrin, FBI Special Agent Robert Waller and State Attorney Norman Wolfinger.

Please join us as we recognize these incredible public servants who were identified during last year’s Public Service Awards.

The ceremony will unveil their prestigious awards to be housed in the beautiful Public Safety Institute at Eastern Florida State College.
