UPDATE: Brevard County Government Offices To Reopen Wednesday

Brevard County government offices will reopen on Wednesday. A Hurricane Irma-related local State of Emergency for non-essential Brevard County employees that took effect Friday, will be lifted effective at 8 p.m. Tuesday.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County government offices will reopen on Wednesday.

A Hurricane Irma-related local State of Emergency for non-essential Brevard County employees that took effect Friday, will be lifted effective at 8 p.m. Tuesday.

With the lifting of this declaration, Brevard County government offices will reopen on Wednesday, Sept. 13.

In some situations, county offices may not have power or water.

“Many county employees have transitioned into the field in response to Hurricane Irma,” said Don Walker, Brevard County Communications Director.

“Extensive recovery efforts are under way for this major storm event.”
