BREVARD COUNTY • ROCKLEDGE, FLORIDA (WKMG) – For the first time since he was shot by a Rockledge police officer last December, a Brevard County teenager is opening up about the incident that cost a veteran officer his job.

“I still feel the pain to this day,” 18-year-old Alexzander Houston told News 6 Monday.

After a year of living with pain, Houston is not comfortable showing his physical scars, but he is opening up about his mental suffering.

“It’s hard for me to sleep at night because it’s the pain and I’m thinking the officer had no reason to shoot me,” he said.

Rockledge police said last December, Houston, then 17, was shot by veteran officer Corporal Nicholas Galluzzi.
