Brevard Schools Foundation Announces Awards of Distinction Honorees During ABC Awards

Boeing Company wins $1 million Milestone award

BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – Seven philanthropic individuals, businesses and/or organizations were honored at the 2018 ABC Awards Applauding Brevard’s Champions on January 24, at the King Center for the Performing Arts in Melbourne. 

Foundation Awards of Distinction 2018 Honorees are:

• Group Champion: BIMDA
• Corporate Champion: Lockheed Martin
• Individual Champion: Susan Moore
• Family Champion: Eddy & Crystal Hanson, Avery’s Light
• Local Business Champion: Highland Mint
• Take Stock in Children Champion: Charlotte Wienckoski
• $1 Million Milestone: The Boeing Company

Brevard Schools Foundation began the ABC Awards in 2012 as a way to celebrate teachers, employees, administrators, volunteers and business partners of the year that support the mission of BPS with outstanding contributions.

Foundation Awards of Distinction were added in 2014 to recognize those who have made a significant difference in the lives children with their private support.

“Highlighting these private partners and their invaluable contributions show how tremendously committed our community is to public education,” said Janice Kershaw, President of Brevard Schools Foundation.

“We’re pleased to channel their support towards supporting innovation, engaging communities and changing lives for students and teachers.”
