Dr. Lee is the Medical Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology at Health First. He specializes in the diagnosis, management, and ablation of arrhythmias, especially atrial fibrillation. Prior to joining Health First, he was in clinical practice in central Ohio for the past nine years.
Dr. Lee completed his Cardiac Electrophysiology training at the University of California, San Francisco, where he also completed a Cardiology Fellowship and a Cardiac Electrophysiology Research Fellowship.
His research interest centered on mechanisms of atrial fibrillation; he studied animal models of this complex arrhythmia. He attended medical school at the Cornell University Medical College in New York City, and completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
Dr. Lee’s undergraduate and graduate studies focused on electrical engineering, specifically digital signal processing. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Science and Engineering (course 6-1) and his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (course 6-A) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA.
Dr. Lee is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He has participated in clinical trials in the field of cardiac electrophysiology. Dr. Lee is the first physician to implant the FDA-approved, MRI-compatible permanent pacemaker in the Midwest. He has authored multiple publications, including book chapters, abstracts, and peer-reviewed manuscripts.
