BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA — Cocoa Police Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted for a business burglary that occurred in early January.

The suspect is one of the multiple suspects currently being sought but is the only suspect whose face was captured on security video.

The suspect seen in the above video is believed to be between 17 and 25 years old and has distinct tattoos on both hands.

According to Cocoa Police Public Information Officer Yvonne Martinez, on January 5 patrol officers responded to an alarm indicating a burglary at American Liquor, located at 2301 State Road 524.

“When officers arrived they found the front window of the business was shattered,” said Martinez.

“Officers also found two other adjacent businesses were also burglarized in the same plaza. When officers entered the business they found a cash register on the ground with loose change scattered. A review of the surveillance video shows what appears to be two black males wearing hoodies.”

According to Martinez, one of the males wearing a hoodie and sweatpants was seen on video crawling through the window, jumping over the counter and opening the register to steal cash but nothing was taken.

“The suspect threw the register drawer on the ground,” said Martinez.

“In less than one minute the suspect grabbed six liquor bottles, puts them in a duffle bag and runs out of the store. The two other businesses that were burglarized in the same manner were Expert Nails and Sally Beauty Supply.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cocoa Police Department at 321-639-7620 or the Central Florida CRIMELINE at 1-800-423-TIPS. CRIMELINE callers will remain anonymous and can be eligible for cash rewards of up to $1,000.
