SPACE COAST DAILY TV: Don’t miss John Raya during the 34th Annual 2018 Melbourne Art Festival going on Saturday and Sunday at Wickham Park in Melbourne. Raya’s two passions have been sculpting and cartooning. As a child, John spent long hours mastering the great works…from the “Sunday funnies,” his favorite comic books, or the all-time classic Mad magazine.
BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Don’t miss the 34th Annual 2018 Melbourne Art Festival going on Saturday and Sunday at Wickham Park in Melbourne.
Works by more than 250 artists will be on display during the Melbourne Art Festival, which will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days at the Wickham Park, located at 2500 Parkway Drive.
Consistently ranked among the top shows in America by Sunshine Artist magazine, the juried art festival is awarding $30,000 for 2-D and 3-D artwork, with a $3,000 prize for Best of Show.
The festival, which is pet-friendly, offers free admission and parking.
Proceeds from this event will promote and encourage artistic endeavors, including local high school scholarships and art education for local students in Brevard County.
The following free workshops will be offered during the Melbourne Art Festival and are open to children ages 6-13.
Artists that are participating in the show will teach these workshops. Class size is limited to 20 and registration is required prior to the starting time at the Art Workshop tent.
