Sergeant Gary Anderson Retires After 30 Years of Service To Brevard County Sheriff’s Office

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Recently, our agency wished a very happy retirement to longtime Brevard County Sheriff’s Office family member Sergeant Gary Anderson.
Gary has enjoyed an incredible career with our agency and leaves behind a legacy of professionalism and valued public service.
Gary was hired on April 4, 1989, by former Sheriff Jake Miller. During his 30 years with the agency, Gary was assigned to several different units and positions to include Deputy, FTO, K-9 Handler, SWAT member, AG-Marine Deputy, SWAT Negotiator, Corporal and Sergeant.
During the majority of his career, Gary was assigned to our Central Precinct (East), West Precinct and Operational Services where he has always proven himself to be an outstanding asset to our agency and community. Gary has received hundreds of letters of Commendation, Unit Citations and Merit Bars during his career for exceptional service and is beloved by our entire agency!
Gary is fondly known for his friendship and smile and will be dearly missed! For those of you who know Gary, he will be heading to his place that sits on top of a mountain in Virginia where he plans to enjoy his well-earned retirement after helping protect our community for most of his adult life.
Please join me in congratulating Gary for his incredible efforts and commitment to our agency and citizens and also in wishing him a very relaxing, fun and well-deserved retirement! We wish Gary the absolute best in the next chapter of his life and greatly appreciate his service!
