CRIME WATCH: Recent FDLE Report Shows 41 Percent Drop In Volent Crime Incidents in Cocoa During 2017

BURGLARIES DOWN MORE THAN 32 PERCENT

The City of Cocoa’s violent crime rate fell 41.1 percent January to December 2017 compared to the same period the previous year, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s recently released statewide crime report.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – The City of Cocoa’s violent crime rate fell 41.1 percent January to December 2017 compared to the same period the previous year, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s recently released statewide crime report.

The FDLE’s Uniform Crime Report system provides standardized reports on crime statistics based on data gathered from across the state.

Reports that provide both summary and detail information are issued semi-annually and annually. This report reflects data residing in the UCR database as of January 3, 2018.
