BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville Police released another update Monday morning about the possible abduction of a 15-year-old girl in Titusville that happened last week.

A Florida AMBER Alert was issued last Tuesday for a 15-year-old girl who last seen in the area of the 1600 block of Barna Avenue in Titusville. Witnesses described a girl being pulled into a dark colored vehicle.

Despite the witness accounts, law enforcement has not identified the girl allegedly abducted in Titusville.

At this point, police say despite the highly publicized media coverage across Florida, investigators have not found any active leads in the case.

Last week, investigators believed they had a lead when their case received interest from Miami-Dade Police about a missing person case concerning 17-year-old Dania Bellegarde on May 7. The features in the Titusville sketch alerted Miami officials.

However, Titusville police say after following many leads nothing has materialized.

“Despite the significant Media Attention on the possible link of a missing Miami girl to the possible abduction of a girl in Titusville on May 15th, our investigators have received no tips on the missing Miami Girl,” said Deputy Chief Todd Hutchinson of the Titusville Police Department.

“Our investigators are no longer in contact with officials in Miami, and there is no evidence or active lead on any connection between our two cases.

Since the initial event on May 15th in Titusville, our investigators have tracked down many leads,” said Hutchinson.

“None of them offering any progress in identifying what the situation was on Barna Ave. in Titusville when witnesses observed a female forced into a dark colored SUV. At this time, our case remains an open investigation with no active leads.”

Last week, investigators believed they had a lead when their case received interest from Miami-Dade Police about a missing person case concerning 17-year-old Dania Bellegarde on May 7.
