BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard Sheriff Wayne Ivey recently asked citizens if they could guess which song the department would perform in answering the “National Law Enforcement Lip Sync Challenge,”

The wait ended Wednesday evening as the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office picked the 1982 hit, “Eye of the Tiger” and released their video with the Rocky based theme on their Facebook Page.

The popular song was sung by American rock band Survivor but is better known as the theme song for the film Rocky III.

The video begins with Sheriff Wayne Ivey dressed as Rocky jogging with his best friend and favorite K9, Junny. More than 20 BCSO personnel participated with special contributions throughout the video. The Sheriff’s Chain Gang even made an appearance.

Over the course of the past week, The BrevardCounty Sheriff’s Office has been pleasantly bombarded with requests to accept the “National Law Enforcement Lip Sync Challenge” that is being thrown down by law enforcement agencies across the country.

“The challenge is a really cool way to show agency pride, team unity, inter-agency camaraderie, and community support for each agency that accepts the challenge of lip syncing to a favorite song or one that is well known for people to sing along with,” said Sheriff Ivey.

Sheriff Ivey also thanks all of the citizens who encouraged the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office to accept the challenge.
