BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Today, I was honored along with numerous other Sheriff’s to have been invited by our President to attend an event in the East Wing of the White House honoring the brave men and women of ICE and Customs Border Patrol.

Prior to the ceremony, there was an extensive panel discussion about the importance of protecting our borders against illegal immigration, terrorists and violent gang members as well as the resources needed to protect our Law Enforcement Officers.

Present in the audience were the families of four members of ICE and Customs Border Patrol who were killed in the line of duty.

President Trump and Vice President Pence were both in attendance to honor the memories and sacrifices of these fallen heroes and also to recognize others for their incredible service and lifesaving efforts.

President Trump also reminded all of the Sheriffs and Law Enforcement Officers in the room that our country will continue to protect those that protect us!
