Units from Brevard County Fire Rescue and Palm Bay Fire Rescue responded to smoke coming from a hangar at Valkaria Airport in south Brevard County. Brevard County Fire Rescue said that a battery charging a powered parachute motor appears to have been the cause of the fire.

BREVARD COUNTY • VALKARIA, FLORIDA – Units from Brevard County Fire Rescue and Palm Bay Fire Rescue responded to smoke coming from a hangar at Valkaria Airport in south Brevard County.

Brevard County Fire Rescue units quickly made access and extinguished the fire.

All remaining responding units were canceled and placed back into service.

Brevard County Fire Rescue said that a battery charging a powered parachute motor appears to have been the cause of the fire.
