Melbourne Police are investigating a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash that killed a Melbourne woman Tuesday night near Wickham Rd. and Eau Gallie Blvd.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne Police are investigating a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash that killed a Melbourne woman Tuesday night near Wickham Rd. and Eau Gallie Blvd.

The deceased victim has been identified as Susan Aubrey Brittingham, 44, from Melbourne.

According to the report from Melbourne Police, Brittingham was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound on Eau Gallie Blvd. around 11 p.m. when she attempted to cross the intersection against the crosswalk signal. She was transported to Holmes Regional Medical Center where she later died from her injuries.

Police say the driver of the vehicle was cooperative and there were no initial indications that alcohol
was a factor.

The crash is still under investigation at this time.
