BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – This past week our Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Unit arrested Martin Paul Fenerty who was the Fugitive of the Week from last week’s “Wheel of Fugitive®️” episode.

The arrest took place at a hotel in Cocoa after Fugitive Agents received information from citizens that Fenerty was hiding at the location to avoid arrest.

Agents responded to the area where they conducted surveillance at the motel and subsequently confirmed that Fenerty was inside the room. Fenerty was taken into custody without incident and confessed to the Agents that he was well aware there was a warrant for his arrest and that he had been highlighted on the “Wheel of Fugitive.”

Fenerty stated that he was tired of running and was actually going to turn himself in that afternoon, even though the warrant had been active since November of 2018.

Our Agents decided to go ahead and give Fenerty a ride to the Brevard County Jail just in case he wasn’t being truthful about turning himself in, as we only hear that story from just about every fugitive we arrest.

Fenerty was booked into the Brevard County Jail on a “No Bond” status for Violation of Drug Offender Probation Reference Burglary of a Dwelling, Grand Theft, Dealing In Stolen Property, and False Verification of Ownership to a Pawnbroker.

The moral of this story is that if you are going to “man up” and do the right thing, don’t take 4 months to do it because if you do our Fugitive Agents and citizens are going to partner together to send you to jail!!
