BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Two Brevard County classrooms have been transformed into dynamic STEM learning environments, giving students access to innovative technology and hands-on experiences designed to inspire the next generation of problem-solvers and innovators.
Florida Power & Light Company (FPL), in partnership with the Brevard Education Foundation and Brevard Public Schools, celebrated the completion of two STEM Classroom Makeovers that are redefining how students learn and engage with science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Made possible through FPL’s Classroom Makeover Grant program, the enhancements at Coquina Elementary School in Titusville and Port Malabar Elementary School in Palm Bay provide students with access to cutting-edge technology, including iPads, 3D printers, VR headsets, and workstations.
The newly redesigned spaces feature modern STEM tools and resources that create immersive, interactive learning experiences while fostering creativity, collaboration and critical thinking.
To mark this significant milestone, the partners hosted a ceremony at both schools to showcase the transformed classrooms and witness the positive impact of education in the lives of local students.
“We believe deeply in the power of education to transform young lives,” said Kate Cotner, FPL Director of Community Engagement.
“We’re thrilled to help create an inspiring learning environment for Brevard County students. This classroom transformation reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting education and equipping students with the tools they need to succeed.”
