Steven Montalvo Arrested With 14 Counts of Possessing Child Pornography

DELTONA, FLORIDA – A 24-year-old Deltona resident has been arrested and charged with 14 counts of possessing child pornography.
Steven Montalvo was arrested on a warrant at his home Tuesday afternoon by the Volusia County sheriff’s Deltona Crime Suppression Team.
He is charged with possessing 14 photos and videos portraying sexual performance by a child. The images portrayed male and female children under a year to 11 years old in sexually explicit situations.
Detectives with the VCSO’s Child Exploitation Unit began investigating Montalvo in December 2018. On Feb. 7, 2019, detectives executed a search warrant at his home. Electronic devices were seized for forensic examination and detectives interviewed him.
An arrest warrant was issued Tuesday. Montalvo was taken into custody and transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail where he remains held on $140,000 bail.
More charges are possible as detectives search for any additional potential victims of sexual exploitation. Anyone who may have been a victim of this suspect or any similar case is urged to call the Child Exploitation Unit at 386-323-3574.
