Florida Tech Panthers Bound For NCAA DII Women’s Rowing National Championship Regatta

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – For the second straight year as a team and third straight for the Varsity 8, the Panthers will be competing in the DII Women’s Rowing national championship regatta.

The NCAA made the announcement Monday, May 20, via the NCAA selection show.

Coming off another amazing season in which the Panthers won a plethora of hardware and had breezed through some of the country’s best collegiate teams.

Some of the season highlights would be both head coach Adam Thorstad and the Varsity 8 boat Sunshine State Conference accolades, the team being ranked No. 2 in the nation for a majority of the season and both the V4 and V8 earning golds in the FIRA, SSC and Dad Vail Regattas.

Tech will continue to train and prepare for its biggest race of the season which takes place between Friday, May 31, through Sunday, June 2 at the Indianapolis Rowing Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.
