BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Tuesday morning on Vectorspace Blvd., just off State Road 405 and U.S. 1 in Titusville to mark the start of construction for the Courtyard by Marriott hotel.
The four-story hotel, which will be operated by hospitality company Delaware North, is set to open in Fall 2020, organizers said.
The hotel will be billed as the closest to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex with its location just 6.4 miles away.
According to Scott Socha, president of the parks and resorts division with Delaware North, the hotel would create “north of 100 jobs.”
Per a release, the property will also have 800 square feet of meeting space for conferences and special events.
“The majority of rooms will be facing the river,” Socha said. “(…)The amenities…..I’ll start with the rooftop observation desk and bar that will be on….resort-style pool, we’ll also have the Marriott’s bistro, full breakfast, full dinner and then we’ll have some space-inspired themes in the hotel.”

Titusville mayor Walt Johnson noted that the hotel was another sign of positive economic developments for the City of Titusville.
“It shows what the future of Titusville is going to be and it’s going to be permanent ’cause we have all of these buildings and homes and everything being built so it’s not the roller coaster ride of past economies,” Johnson said.
