Although it’s a good thing that social media is present, it could also backfire if not used the right way. These are some instances when social media could have damaging effects on your business.

People might judge your business based on how active and creative the social media page is. If they think that you aren’t doing anything outstanding, it could end up affecting your image too.
People will question you for the lack of effort. They will also think that you are only operating that page because all other companies have social media accounts.
Like any different marketing strategy, you need to come up with a plan for how you’re going to promote your business through this platform. You can’t post like you regularly do on your personal account; this page represents the business.
Don’t rely on social media only
Apart from the possibility that these things happen, another problem with social media is that you could end up forgetting the people who also need to hear from you.
They aren’t active on social media, and they won’t know what’s going on if you only have one platform to advertise on.
