SPACE COAST DAILY TV: Richie Leonard, a highly-touted rising senior offensive lineman at Cocoa High School, will announce where he will play college football at a gathering at Jabbers restaurant, located at 4365 Grissom Pkwy. in Cocoa, at 5 p.m. on July 5.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Richie Leonard, a highly-touted rising senior offensive lineman at Cocoa High School, will announce where he will play college football at a gathering at Jabbers restaurant, located at 4365 Grissom Pkwy. in Cocoa, at 5 p.m. on July 5.
Leonard has narrowed his choices to seven schools, with Georgia Tech, Florida, Florida State, UCF, Kentucky, Miami and Tennessee all in the running for his services.
According to MaxPreps.com, Leonard stands at 6-feet-5-inches tall and weighs 280 pounds. Two prominent recruiting service sites, Scout and Rivals, rate Leonard as a “3-star recruit” on 1-5 star scales.
Leonard has played a prominent role on the Tigers’ offensive line and has been a part of a program that has made three consecutive trips to the state championship game.
The date of the announcement coincides with his mother Prishonda’s birthday on the same day.
The gathering will act as a fundraiser for the Cocoa High School Quarterback Club.
“It’s almost that time…sweets will be provided…please be prepared to purchase food items,” said Prishonda Leonard on Twitter.
Ten percent of all proceeds will be donated to the Cocoa Tigers Quarterback Club, which provides support to the Cocoa High Football Program.
