Parrish Medical Center Congratulates Maureen Rupe, 2019 ‘Women Who Make a Difference’ Honoree

Parrish Medical Center congratulates Maureen Rupe, board of directors’ member for being recognized by the Space Coast Chapter of the National Congress of Black Women, Inc., as a 2019 “Women Who Make a Difference” honoree. 

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Parrish Medical Center congratulates Maureen Rupe, board of directors’ member for being recognized by the Space Coast Chapter of the National Congress of Black Women, Inc., as a 2019 “Women Who Make a Difference” honoree.

“You have been a force within our community working hard to stand up for those who cannot stand for themselves,” wrote Alberta Wilson, president of NCBW. “Maureen’s activism helps to make a better community and we recognize your efforts.”

Rupe has served on the board of directors at PMC since 2002. She has an extensive background in public service, including serving as president of the Partnership for a Sustainable Future; chair and board member for League of Women Voters; charter review commission member for Brevard County 2003/2004 and Brevard County Land Procedures and Policies Committee; chairman of Port St. John Library board; and president of the Brevard British Club.

“Ms. Rupe’s leadership and guiding principles served to champion Parrish Medical Center as a national leader in embracing environmental sustainability as part of our healing environments and in how we provide healing health care experiences to the people we have the honor to serve,” said George Mikitarian, PMC president/CEO.
