BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The 920th Rescue Wing rescued all 11 people after an aircraft crashed approximately 60 miles off the coast of Melbourne, according to updated information from responding agencies.
Officials said the U.S. Coast Guard initially launched a C-27 aircraft after receiving reports of the crash offshore, while the 920th Rescue Wing carried out the rescue mission.
All 11 individuals aboard the aircraft have been accounted for and were transported to emergency medical services for further evaluation.

Earlier reports indicated 10 people were on board, but officials have since updated that number to 11.
Authorities have not yet released details about the aircraft involved, what led to the crash, or the conditions of those rescued.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation as federal, military, and local agencies continue gathering information.
