BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue Throwback Thursday featured the above updated, but “old,” image of a District 4 Fire Control Squad Unit at the Ruth Street Fire Station in Cocoa.
The station was located across the street from Wooten Ford. District 4 had two stations – one on State Road 524, west of I-95, and the Ruth Street Station.
The five fire control districts merged/consolidated in the mid-80s into what is now Brevard County Fire Rescue.
