Home Was Not Occupied at the Time of the Fire

BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue and Canaveral Fire Rescue crews made a quick knockdown and great stop in the 1500 block of Stanford Avenue on Merritt Island Saturday.

Brevard County Fire Rescue officials said the heavy garage fire was stopped before completely damaging the interior of the home and attic.

The home was not occupied at the time and the cause is under investigation.
