BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Tech men’s soccer (5-0, 1-0 SSC) continued its perfect start to the season as the team took down Embry-Riddle, 1-0, in an overtime thriller.

Abram Murphy netted his first goal collegiate goal and the match winner less than a minute into overtime.

Jason Fesquet (5-0) pushed his shutout streak to three straight matches as he put a stop to three Eagles chances.

The Panthers controlled the pace in the first half as they outshot Embry-Riddle, 6-2, but that did not translate into goals. The second half was a more even contest as the shots were 4-5 in favor of the Eagles. But it was still scoreless through 90 minutes so extra time was required.

However, the Crimson and Gray did not take long to net the golden goal as Murphy buried a shot off a Guillermo Segovia assist only 42 seconds into overtime.

The Panthers looks to push its win streak to six straight as they welcome defending national champions Barry to Melbourne, Florida. This showdown at Rick Stottler Field is set to begin at 3 p.m. ET.
