Adrienne Schwab Named Principal of New Viera Elementary School, Will Open August 2020

Adrienne Schwab has been named principal of the new Viera area elementary school, which is under construction and will open in August of 2020.

BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – Adrienne Schwab has been named principal of the new Viera area elementary school, which is under construction and will open in August of 2020.

Schwab, current principal of Meadowlane Intermediate (West Melbourne), began her teaching career at Brevard Public Schools in 2002 at Lockmar Elementary then transitioned to a teaching position at Meadowlane Intermediate in 2007 where she was named Assistant Principal in 2012, then Principal in 2015.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida, and holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education.

Schwab is a product of Brevard Public Schools graduating from Palm Bay Magnet High School and attended Lockmar Elementary and Southwest Middle School.

“It is an honor and privilege to be appointed as the principal for the new South Viera Elementary school,” said Schwab.

“In 2007, as a teacher when Meadowlane Intermediate opened, I had a vision, dream and goal of opening a new school as a principal in the future.  I am looking forward to working collaboratively with all stakeholders and the community to create a standard of excellence for today’s modern classroom that focuses on student engagement, innovative instruction and learning for all.”
