The final collaboration between Rodgers & Hammerstein was destined to become the world’s most beloved musical.

When a postulant proves too high-spirited for the religious life, she is dispatched to serve as governess for the seven children of a widowed naval Captain.

Her growing rapport with the youngsters, coupled with her generosity of spirit, gradually captures the heart of the family…and the audience!

Presented through special arrangements with R&H Theatricals.

AMONG TOP 10 MOVIES OF ALL TIME: The Sound of Music, which premiered in 1965, eventually earned a total domestic gross of $163,214,076 and a total worldwide gross of $286,214,076. Adjusted for inflation, the film earned about $2.366 billion at 2014 prices—placing it among the top ten highest-grossing films of all time.
